I havent done anything with the AQHA previously but I have just hipefully sold my appy mare and bought myself a lovely QH that i woud like to do some youth classes with befor I am too old. But I really do not understand the rule on youths in the AQHA, yes im being dense, dont know why you cant do it from Januray like everyone else.
so my brthday day is july 1990, so this year i would be 17 according to the AQHA, would that be from this august to next august? so how many years with the AQHA would i be a youth for?

Hi Gem, I too find it complicated so I just leave it to AQHA to sort out! You are a youth member until you are 18 and it runs from January each year, so if your birthday is Jan 2 (18) then you have another year in youth I think. Your date of birth will be on the membership card, so don't worry, just join. And have fun too. Rosie
