A friend of mine is looking possibly at this breed because she wants a quiet horse for a beginner in western - she was worried to be sold something not suitable and needs advice. Wittering beach is about an hour away from us. I have a youngster AQH but finding everything difficult from finding the right saddle, freelance instructor or someone more local to teach me on her....we are going round in circles..friend needs a quiet horse as both of us having a young one wouldn't be wise I think.....any advice appreciated...We live nr Farnham Surrey

Hi
I would sugest getting in touch with Monique at Criollo Farm, and see what she has in stock! You can go out on day rides on their company horses - fees on web site. But ive never learnt western as a disapline and ive found it fairly easy to pick up on Criollos (do think it might be a little different to usual western) its more neck reining!! Criollo Farm have a web site. Always plenty of Criollos in stock.

Good luck

Looks like you all had a great time? I wonder if you have any details about the beach you rode on, like access and parking?

If not do you know who organised the ride so I can contact them?

Many thanks,

Cowboy.

Thsta west wittering beach in west sussex, we parked at the Bakeham Equestrian Center, and had Lunch at The Beach Hut - where the restaurant owner also let us tie up 11 Criollos.
