Showing outfit 2008/07/14 09:11 Karma: 0
I am planning to take my Appy yearling to do a few showmanship classes either this year or next year (more likely next year), I have spotted a nice looking vest which is purple and white with gold accents, what else could I wear with this?
I was thinking purple or black slinky with black trousers? My hat is black with a gold hat band.

Would the cream/white be to bad with a few spot?

My knowledge of showing is mostly English (dark legs with light horses, light legs with dark horses).

Any tips?

Thanks

Hi, sounds nice - black trousers and black hat very sensible as you can change outfits around those basics. maybe try the vest on with the different coloured slinkies to see which looks best.

Thanks for the reply

Do you think the cream would look ok with a chestnut based fewspot?

If I decide to do ridden shows later with her, or one of my other horses, would cream chaps be better to tie in with the vest, or black chaps?

We had a chesnut based, basically few spot appy. We found that if you dressed toopale, the whole pair would disappear against the pale walls of many of the arenas.

A bit of cream around your top, will lighten up your face.

We found that most colours went well with her, even fuschia pink!

Have fun!
