I was surprised to find a heading here which could easily be confused with my web site which is called "Western Riding in Scotland", because of technichal reasons it is accessed by
www. sundancer.btinternet.co.uk and was started in 2001. previous to that in 1992 I had a magazine with the same name. When I heard that a proposed new organisation was to use the name "Western Riding Scotland" (no "in") I asked that they changed it to avoid confusion. They refused. My web site has been on the "bookmark" page of this web site as "Western Riding in Scotland" and also on the "link" page of many other web sites.
The lack of response to my web site may be due to the fact that I am independent and that people are happier with committees, officials, rules etc
Maybe I should start a web site called "WES"? No of course I wouldn't, they probably have it legally protected but on grounds of good manners and consideration for others I would use another name.
