Any legal beagles out there? Friend has a relatively elderly 'rescue' thoroughbred horse on loan. Although horse now in excellent condition it is permanently lame and can not be ridden. The owner has now demanded £2,000 for the horse or they will take it back and sell it.
There was loan agreement, but this has now run out.
Any suggestions/helpful advice welcomed.

Hi there I'm not in a position to give advice (I did my law degree a few years ago now) but Taylor Vinters In Cambridge is a law firm with an excellent reputation for bloodstock and equestrian disputes. They would certainly be able to give some advice and an indication whether it would be worth disputing.
