hi all 2007/04/02 14:49 Karma: 0
hi just a note to say that i am new to all this western stuff lol i hve always wanted to do it but have all ways been told that my darling horse is not the right type but i have to say im glad i just bit the bullit and goit on with it. my horse is a 17.2 shire cross and we have only just been riding western for 3 months but it has been going realy well i thing i am right in saying that the saddle has made such a massiv improvment to both my riding and his behavior. i brock my back a cupple or years ago and fined that it dose not play up as much and the extran waight of the saddle makes my horse as he is a big boy pay that bit more atention to me. if any one has any tipsor any thing i would more than happy to try them. thanks again Beth

Hi and welcome! glad it's working out for you and your horse - we have quite a few 'largies' under western tack in our area and it's lovely to see. what area are you in?

hi beth, welcome to the community. i hope that you get to meet lots of people and really enjoy your horse too.  i would suggest that you get in touch with your local WES rep via their webpage www.wes-uk.com who will be able to put you in touch with local riders. glad to hear you like riding western, so much more comfortable. rosie

Hi Beth,

Good to see that another new "face " has joined the scene and that you dont have to have a quarter horse to get involved and enjoy western.

The Western Horsemens Association has a strong following in your part of the country and we are holding our End of Year Show in Richmond this year so you might find that interesting?

Check out the web site at www.wha-of-gb.org.uk

Good luck and I hope you continue to enjoy our great sport.

Cowboy.
