Well decieded to take the SF out last Monday- entered her in at a local show- which hosted youngstock class & Coloured in hand class.She,s just 2- only ever been to one show LAST year- which was BApS affiliated- but she did do rather well! Won the yearling filly class- then won the yearling championship. Then went on to win Reserve best Female in show! Quite a feat for a yearling! Due to 2 small ops she had on her back leg- we didnt bother anymore- untill Monday! Practiced in hand with a loveley American Western Halter Aunty Jude so kindley sent us last year- but on the day l thought just a wee bit too big-so showed her in an English show bridle with a small nathe bit- which she gagged & spat- she HATED it!Decieded that she was NOT gonna be a good girl- refused to stand for the judge- then refused POINT BLANK to move in the walk-trot up-l was soo embarrassed! Still we managed a mere 5th & 6th-and a stern word from the judge to go home and teach her show training-so that she can win the awards she deserves! She loved her though!

Ahhh it's my "little" SF.......

She looks great Trish, don't worry, the tail will grow back and she will learn to go forwards - it's not the show training she needs, it's the outings!! You will have to go showing more often (oh, what a chore!!!)

I told Aunty SP about her outing - I think SP's reaction was something like - "...refuse to go forward? I'll give her refuse to go forward, now in my day..........."

Can't wait to see her out and about again in western attire - and you too.

Its all sooo exciting....she looks amazing, a credit to you guys. I can't wait to see what the year brings for her.
We had a chestnut blanket spot out of our mare by Riker this year...Carrera...She is going to be another stunner! Pics on web site very soon!
