Showing in Hand 2006/03/27 21:15 Karma: 0
I am interested in getting my mare back in the show ring and wanted to start with a bit of showing in hand (particularly Chaps) I would greatly appreciate any useful advice re entry/ protocol etc. I have done a bit of Halter with WES ..is it the same ie can I use my western show halter etc

Thank you.

If you are going to be showing in an English class then you will need to used either an inhand bridle or use a standard bridle (pref double)

Some English judges don't mind too much having a show halter if you are showing in a non-UK breeds class but for something like chaps then its best to conform with the usual regs.

Good luck with the English classes They keep you fit - thats for sure.

they make you walk for hours and hours and hours ...
