i've just heard that western riding is going to be at the british olympics i know its a way off but does anyone know any details yet such as what classes, where its going to be, how you get selected/enter etc? i've tried googling it but no joy!

There is a bit of a race on between Endurance and Reining to get into the Olympics. Reining is the only western discipline which is affiliated to FEI so it is the only western discipline in the running for the Olympics. As yet, we don't know for sure whether Reining will get in as the next Olympic Equestrian Discipline - fingers crossed! I personally think it has far more appeal for spectators than Endurance. But then I am slightly biased.

have to confess i'm not particularly into reining, but it would be a huge boost for the discipline and open lots of doors for the other sections i guess - will keep my fingers crossed and start practising my flag waving!!
