I look for Temperment and conformation as equals.Bloodlines come in to it last,as quite frankly some of these top lines are only made top horses by the riders and trainers who produced them.Bloodlines can give an indication of what they might produce but it doesnt necessary mean that you got a top notch horse.I look for a good all round type, colour comes second in my book.
Now ive opened a can of worms i guess

Ive given up hope of breeding colour with my filly, she is a solid appy, and her mum is a solid, i could try find a nice few spot stallion and hope for colour but if im keeping the foal it would be a ridden horse that would have to have a good temprement so i would go for something that has gone out and competed and doen well and seems a calm nice horse all round. if i found one that did all that and would maybe give me a little colour it would be fab.

also abandoned looking for an Appy stallion i like in this country, there are too many Amazing Blue stalions so i would rather not have another blue baby, and my filly already has blue in her, far enough back to go to blue again, but it would be one out of hundreds then. i cant use Wa Ha Dar becasue he is her dad, and hte only other two that arent blue foals or huge BApS horses are Peyres SUlly Cortez, who i am not keen on at all and is a little bit naughty, and Xtreme Paradise, who has been gelded now
