Problem child is giving me sleepless nights again... After QH2000, she had a couple of days in the field, and came in lame, probably from slithering about on wet/hard ground. Vet said slight sprain, 10 days box rest, bute and hosing and she soon came sound. She's back in full work, completely sound, moving well and happy. But if she's turned out she always comes in with puffy fetlocks. She's in a smaller paddock with just a couple of other mares now, and she doesn't gallop about that much. I'm using cooling gel and the puffiness does almost disappear overnight. If she's kept in and just worked hard (most weekends) her legs do not fill. I've tried turning her out with and without SMB boots on, and there's not much difference. I'm not keen to keep her in all the time as she has a touch of COPD. Any suggestions before I go completely grey?!!!

bandage her legs instead of using boots they give a little more support, and hopefully it shouldnt be a problem, usually them moving stops their legs filling but if she is running about a lot try turning her out by her self or in a smaller area
