;D Thanks John for putting thinks right!!!! Sorry everyone- lm silly on putor jargon here!!! ;D
Well to put you out of your misery- Sexy Filly unfortunatley had a susp black funny "lump" on the inside of her back leg. We first noticed this when she was about 3months old- had the vet check it when she started her jabs at 4 1/2months old- we found it was a type of skin cancer! :o So when SF was just 5months old- off she went with mum to Rainbow Equine clinic to have it removed. The biopsy revealed a rare type of skin cancer- only 3 ever reported cases EVER-(told you SF special! ;D ) and came home none the worse for wear! This had NOTHING what so ever to do with genetics-genes or anything- just one of those things- that may have been caused through maybe a fly bite- knock? who knows?????
Anyway 1st lump!

After op- and many stiches.........

The reason for the megatek success? Well Aunty Jude sent me 2 megatek products through the post- with a message- shut up and try these!!!!!!!! so l did- one was for thickening & conditioning the hair - the other to help heal scars etc! (Must get Mart to use it on his bald patch! ;D )
Well- the hair cond/thickining one- lst impression- SMELLS BRILL!!!!!!! SF mane is now on BOTH sides :o thick as hell- my other half religiously applied it EVERY day!(to Sf - not his bald patch! ;D ) The other- for scars etc- well- after just 3 weeks- you couldnt tell that she had had an op and scarring! THe hair grew back so quickly- and smoothed out the lumps & bumps!
Then last month we noticed another lump again- in the same place! I was gutted Had vet down- to take a biopsy again-as l convinced myself it was a sarcoid- it came back as the same type of cancer as before- BUT- this time Benigne! I was overjoyed that it was benigne this time-so Megatek? Who knows??
Heres pics before she went in. (I had been putting cream on for 2 weeks- which stopped growth- even vet had to admit that!Thats why it looks sticky-didnt want flys at it!)

Well shes had the op done last night-and can be picked up 2morrow to come home! ;D dressing changed Mon when the vet comes out to ours- then on Thurs she has to be sedated as stiches quite deep- so fingers xxx all will be well!

Wow that little lass has been through it ! Pat on the back for you going to the vet, I know that a lot of people seem to not touch youngers and then only worry when it's leg is hanging off at age 3. It sounds like you have a great vet that is going to keep on top of it. I hope that last little lump will be the last you see of it.

My boy had a little lump on him removed and I was worried that it came back but then it was just a horse fly bite in an area close by it *phew* !!

I am really pleased that the Mega-Tek and Micro-Tek have helped her. I remember doing the gift wrap service that had to go of to a "sexy filly" It's nice to see the end result of people using the products.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that she is all ok when you get the final scar covered over.

Got her home tonight- the lump was a tumour- and when they opened the leg up the tumour was the size of a golf ball! Anyway removed it all (hoping- fingers xxxxxx) The small red lump in the pic was just the tip of the iceburg!
the vets just couldnt get over Sexy Fillys temprement! they couldnt believe that they didnt have to sedate or twitch her to put the MASSIVE bandange on which covers nearly her FULL back leg! Re did the bandage before we brought her home- and Pete the vet said shes so funny- just rub ANYWHERE on her body- and she just goes into dream mode- and goes into a trance! ;D He said her temprement and manners for a yearling are 2nd to none! And he loved the fact that when he approached her stable- and called her- she ALLWAYS whinnied to him (she,s a gobby madam- just DONT know WHO she takes after! : )
So vet back on Mon for dressing change- then sedated on Thurs for stiches out as they are so deep! (Asked for bill........cheaper than last time- ?600 last time- ?545 this time- but we got it for ?450 for cash! )
