Not having the facilities at home and the weather being so gross I booked a lesson with Tanya Rowe after meeting her at the show last weekend.
The first thing she did was get on my horse to see what she was like! I've got another lesson booked next week.

re trainers in wales, i suggest you get in touch with lisa at the mendip stud as she used to live in south wales so will know of anyone.

Trouble is if you are new to western how do you know whether your trainer is good especially if you dont know others locally to ask, and if you cant ride western anyway?  Suppose you just ask questions, go and see them train, watch and research the internet on their record of success and just hope.  Pretty good idea just watching even the handling, you will soon instinctively know!
