We have to use fly sheets on two horses. When I take them off I get static shocks. Don't think this can be very comfortable for the girls. Anyone got any ideas as to how I can stop the static?

hee you could try one of those strips that cars used to have trailing from under the boot to the ground...
Seriously tho, we get this from the rambo sweet itch hoody and the first time it happened my poor horse shot to the back of the stable and wouldn't come near me (not a bad thing for a pushy horse?!!)
so now I undo all straps and then remove it really quickly in one foul swoop dragging it across his back and dump it behind him on the floor! Luckily he isn't a spooky fella or that could have been messy...the quicker the better and there's no static build up. Not exactly BHS or good horsemanship handling but hey, it works!

you can put in a bit of conditioner in the final rinse, you can get anti static ones. And they'll smell nice too!!!
