Another request for expert assistance!

I have a registered palomino QH that started life as a cream foal, then went part chocolate coloured and is now a dappled beigey palomino with cream mane and tail. There are some dark hairs in the tail. She is quite prone to insect bites and when some form a scab, the hair regrowth is dark, almost black. So now she is getting covered in black spots! Can a true palomino do that? Her dad is registered palomino and her mum is bay. Haven't been able to post a photo successfully but can email.
