We went to the Stars and Stripes show yesterday - it's part of the BSPA show and the classes are organised by UKPHA and also open to non-paints.
Altho I think the show's main team were slightly oblivious to us Sue and Rob Painter did a fab job of putting on some WES classes for novice combinations.
It was hubby's first show with our new horse (we don't discuss the couple of disastrous outings with the last horse, who was only interested in galloping about!) and he had a lovely time. Usual friendly western atmosphere, good classes and whoopee, three rossies!
Great start to the season, highly recommended!

Thanks for the review. I have recreated this as an article to the 'General Article/Show Review' section and selected to 'show on front page'. Hope you don't mind.

I have moved the 'Publish' menu onto the top level instead of under the 'Content' menu. I hope more people will find it easier to use this and create snippets for the site in general.

Hi Everyone,

I totally agree with you, I also was at the show on Saturday. I have been to many many BSPA & UKPHA Shows being a "small time" Paint Breeder, however this by far was the best organised show they have done.

My Stallion has only been backed 2 months and I have only just started to ride Western (also 2 months!), we came 3rd in the Walk Jog class which I was thrilled about! Not bad for our 1st ridden show! Not bad considering normally he is a right hand full, he behaved very well (just a couple of screams!). But then he has only just turned 4 yrs.

Thanks you BSPA and thank you Sue & Rob Painter, well done!
