seems the forum is suffering from amnesia with large posts. I have had two reports in the last 24 hours that long post messages are not being displayed... I'm not sure how long is 'long' but I'm looking into it so for now if you want a large post make sure you have it copied elsewhere in case it gets lost somewhere in the ether of the internet.

I do not believe its the length of the post that is the problem but THE TIME TAKEN TO COMPOSE.

The site will automatically log a registered user out after 15min of inactivity... so if you take longer than that to compose your long post (quite easy if you are thinking about what you are going to type) then when you hit the submit button your post will not be sent.

I have increased the time-out to 30 mins to try to help this situation and I'm sorry to those who lost there 'considered' posts because of it.
