Good grief, I shall have to hope my new four legged friend turns out to have a flair for pleasure, because there is no way on the entire planet I would get my head around that lot (licences/multiple memberships) if she turn out to be a reiner!

I know Linda, hope your mule is NOT a reiner!! Does not look as if we will be able to compete KD at the BR show. People away on holiday, conflicting info on the license, not the right classes for the AQHA reining (only Championship Classes and Futurity classes), etc.

I don't want to join NRHA and pay $60 for just one show and anyway, the paperwork would not be back in time.

Still trying to work something out, but does not look positive at the moment.

There is absolutely no need for NRHA membership for the BR show, as stated earlier a BR Licence and Membership or neither of these for Green as Grass

Try speaking to Adam or Carol, I am sure that under the circumstances they will sort something out.

I keep hearing that more people are needed to enter shows so why do Associations make it so difficult? I have never entered a show, don't know what Association to join (was a member of WHA but it didn't seem to do me any good). I was hoping this site could bring it all together but it doesn't seem to have all the information as to all the shows. As a pensioner I'm not in it to reach the top but have fun and someone has to lose but looking at the fees it would be very expensive 'fun'.

I KNOW that I do not need a membership or license for the Green as Grass BUT I am not the one riding the horse!! So can't enter under those rules. I NEED a membership with BR and a BR competition license to have my trainer compete her.

I have talked to various people mentioned above, but still can't find out how to apply for the license. The BR entrance form just states you you can get a membership at the show but MUST apply for a BR license BEFORE the show and yet no advice on how to do this. That is all I am asking for NOT what I need to compete.

No one seems to know what to do if you do not have an NRHA license and as I stated before, I do not want to pay for a full years membership with NRHA just to run one or two classes.

Am currently waiting for a response from Adam, but time is running short to get the paperwork done.

Next year will be a breeze after this!! Would not have even gone to the show if they had not cancelled all the reining classes at the AQHA show.

I will be riding my horse soon, but wanted her to get some show experience before I take over the reins. The first show she was ready for (QH2000) was cancelled, she ran at the WES Champs (very well), then the cancellation of reining classes at AQHA have left us high and dry for the shows we could attend.

Hopefully we can get to the show and get the experience and practice sorely needed on such a great surface!

I did pick up on these points and I am desparately trying to get an answer on the comp licence for you.

Have tried emailing Jane M, I know its not her responsibility but she does seem to be able to get things done
