Other half says I can have a good show saddle for Rosie. She is a 14.3 well built Arabian, grey. We've looked on English sites and can't find anything we like but plenty in the states. Any body had any experience of importing please? Costs does come into this but hoping with £ to $ rates the duty wouldn't be too much.

I bought one in earlier this year, think I paid about £75 in VAT and duty. They charged me about another £50 in shipping charges on top of the saddle costs.

Wow, I thought the import taxes would run into the £100's. Thinks are looking up!

Just one other thought - Continental saddles come in short/wide designs which should be good for a small arab. They are quite pricey, so might cost as much as getting one from the states even with the shipping but at least you can get it fitted!
Think Sequoia Western and Boots and Saddles both sell Continental.
