about the saddle size? 2008/02/08 12:04 Karma: 0
Hello everybody
I'm from Bulgaria) and I'm аbout to bay a western saddle and cowboy boots.
I need advice for the size of the saddle and boots.

I'm:
6.1 tall
and
155 pounds (thin figure)

I will attach a pic of me to get a better idea about the size of the saddle

--------------------

for the boots - length of my foot is 11.5 inch

thank you in advance

With both of these questions, the answer is probably to try before you buy...
Most tall people are OK on a 16in western saddle, but if you have very long legs you may need a bigger saddle - different seat shapes can also affect how the saddle fits you.
Boots are pretty random - USA sizes are usually one bigger than UK (sorry not sure about European sizes!) but can be two bigger (Ariat). My other half actually takes different sizes in Ariat, Laredo and Justin boots...not much help!
If you can get to some shows where there are western tack stalls (not sure what the show scene in Bulgaria is like...) you could try different makes of saddle and boot.
Hope this is vaguely hopeful

Many thanks
but that is the problem
in Bulgaria there's no western shows, even a riders, may be a few people around the country....
in Bulgaria is riding only English, and sale only English tack
and I must buy my western saddle from internet with no chance for me to trai it before....
