Well firstly let me give a big thanks to billywhiz as he has sold me the BEST appaloosa ever.

I am now the proud owner of a 3 1/2 year old Appaloosa gelding and I LOVE HIM TO BITS.

I did a lot of research on the net after getting warnings from friends that they are a very firey and skitty breed but I think that either my boy is an exception to the rule or they really didn't know what they were talking about.

Woody is the most loving horse I have ever owned and definately the most cheeky.

So many people have commented on how stunning he is and how fantastic his manners are.

My 1st Appaloosa, smitten and hooked.

Well I don't know where the firey & skitty comes from!! my Appaloosa gelding is now 11yrs old, I've had him from a yearling, he is the most gentle loving horse, won loads in halter & ridden (western) He's converted people who didn't like Appaloosas, he loves to be fussed over, kids can go in his stable
and cuddle his legs, babies in pushchairs have been put under his nose and he's nuzzled them so gently. He is my amazing horse, will be with me for ever, however, i do now have QH's.

Yes I have a appaloosa x TB mare (although looks all appy) she is intelligent, witty and firey but always gives 100%, shes my princess!

hehehehehehe - know all about this bug. Once you are hooked well - you will always be seeing spots.

Hi - do you know why the indians had appys? because when they got to the battle they were really mad!
I have an Appy cross QH - in the mountains he is reliable as they come - on the streets he can be a tornado! He has been within 50ft of a bull moose and did not panic, in fact we rode for nearly a mile parallel to that moose. I have ridden him 35 miles in one day with 60lbs of gear and me 200lbs and he had lots left in him - good choice! Only negative is that their night time vision is usually very bad.
