WES Welsh Borders Show 2008/03/10 18:07 Karma: 0
We are organising a new WES show this year, to be held at Abergavenny on 14th September. Venue has a 40m x 40m outdoor arena with sand/chopped cable surface, no wax. Warm up indoors. Good range of classes, entry fees around £7-£8 a class. Schedules will be available soon once we've had confirmation about sponsors and prizes. Hi-points, plus a few extra awards. Easy to get to and close to major roads - about 50 miles from Malvern. Overnight stabling will be available at £15. The venue is a livery/training yard, so it's a great opportunity to introduce western to a fresh audience.

If you want a schedule when they're available, please email me at llwyndrain.farm@btinternet.com

Well done to you for organising a new WES show, hope you get lots of entries.

To anyone who thinks they wouldn't possibly be good enough to do a show, go along and have a try at the nov rider horsemanship or even the pleasure.

WES shows are friendly and fun, and everyone is welcome.

Thanks for the feedback - can confirm everything you say. After swearing blind I'd never compete again (english) as the stress was just too much, have found western to be fun, relaxed and a great way to measure how our training has progressed.
