Thanks for all your help. Ill call into NFU office (gives me an excuess to go to town).

Ill check the house contents cover as the tack will only be in the car en route to shows etc. Ther will be no getting away from him, if I look out the kitchen window and across the yard I can see him in his stable.

hi katie, glad to hear you now have your horse, even though you can't ride at the moment. regarding insurance i would recommend both Shearwater Insurance and KBIS. they are both good and will pay out fairly too. as regards your saddle, most house insurance policies with cover it under all risks as long as you keep it at home but i must admit i find it easier to cover my saddles with the horse policy too.
hope this hasn't made it any more confusing. i did use NFU for my first horse but found that the premium was too much for more expensive horses and was recommended KBIS and they are superb.
