Hi - I'm sure you'll love the clinic once you get there. It's a great motivater at this time of year. I'll be there with my big cob so come and say hello, we're staying at the college if you want to join us for a few drinks in the common room!! My friend has got a treeless saddle on her pony and she'll be there too so you can compare notes. Don't worry about it you'll be fine. Hope the weather perks up a bit!

I'll be there with Tommi my bright orange and somewhat hirsute QH! Please come and say hello to us! I'm really looking forward to 3 days away with my horse, great instruction, meeting new folks and enjoying 3 consecutive nights' kip without an aged feline mieowing and pogoing up and down on my head 3 times a night - can't wait!

Yes we'll be there with small grumpy grey QH.
Really looking forward to it - horse is mainly ridden by my OH and I've had all of about six western lessons in six years so might need ibuprofen/whisky/both!

Oooooh stop it I am getting very envious. I was booked in to go but my horse got injured and is on box rest so I had to cancel. I have been for last 3 years and enjoyed it everytime. It is such a great way to start the new season. By the way, Nigel Crowe is also at the clinic and, don't tell him that I told you, but it is his birthday sometime over the weekend so there could be a party!! Enjoy yourselves!

Just to report back that the WES clinic was fabulous, as expected.
Even an inch of snow on Sunday morning didn't spoil it although you needed all your layers on!
Lee and Bob were just brilliant - giving confidence to those just starting out, while providing challenges and useful tips to help those who have done a bit more.
I got to do some trail for the first time in public, and we even had a go at flying changes! My legs will never be the same again tho....
We also got to try the new WES versatility class, under the expert eye of Bob and Lee, so we may have the edge over the rest of you when it appears on show schedules (if I can get madam to concentrate on side pass rather than some random noise in the stable block that is!)
And congratulations to Campbh, who got the highest score of the day on Tommi!
Anyone who hasn't tried the WES clinic, a massive recommendation for 2009!
