WES area 9 show 2008/04/28 12:30 Karma: 0
I just wanted to say that i went to the WES area 9 show yesterday at Sovereign & had a really great time.

The venue was obviously great, the competition was good & the weather didn't do too badly.

It was nice to see Nathan there taking photos, so i can't wait to have a look at those on the website!

Caz also forgot to say she got soaking wet but got her reward by getting a place in walk, jog. Nice meeting you Caz.

You should have stayed for the Novice Rider Pleasure, it got split into 2 'go rounds' as there were 18 entries, so it wasn't as busy.
He got placed 6th in that class!

I was really pleased with him in that class as it was the first class we've ever entered where you have to lope with others & he behaved really well.

He made up for the rubbish trail with 2 good Pleasure classes, & it made getting wet worth it!!

It was nice to see you too, hope to see you again!

Ruth O'Reilly and the SQH team put on a cracking show - I really enjoyed my first experience at SQH with my horse, the clinic the day before was a godsend for the nerves and the arena was lovely to ride in! Thanks to all who organised such a fun day, can't wait to make the trip back again soon. Rider now aching all over - horse spent better part of today recovering from the shock flat on back snoring !

Oh Campbh - how did you get on with Tommi???? C'mon don't be shy, I *KNOW* you got a few rosettes...
Congratulations!

And also to Caz for your placing, bril! I saw that too! Thought your horse did indeed go really nicely, worth all the effort!

Misty - if you'd have worn your pink stetson do you think it would have helped?!! Anything in the rules for NOT wearing a pink hat?!!

It was a lovely day out, well worth the miles to get there. I thought the trail set up was a bit boring though? No bridge?

Hey Joey it was great to see you guys up there too! But I have to be very careful with you around Mrs Candid Camera - not sure I want my trail box endeavours to end up on the Western Tube!! (Shame you didn't capture the great Tommi Head-bobbing stint! )

But great to see you yesterday, and I am very proud of Tommi Meister - onwards and forwards, as you rightly say!
