Now I'm disappointed. Madam loves extreme trail, as does Tomi. We'll just have to play with steel girders and drainage pipes at home.

Oh well, doubtless the trail will be fun anyway, particularly if a certain M Carder desgins the pattern.

Designing trail patterns is quite an art. Trying to keep them interesting for spectators and those that are experienced, but not too scary for the less experienced whilst ensuring we do nothing to upset the Health and Safety Police! Extreme trail does sound like fun though!

Now I'm feeling guilty - yes we definitely want trail to be inviting enough for novices and young horses to enjoy it!

We are looking forward to Hartpury very much.

Extreme trail's probably best carried out in the comfort of your own yard - then there's no rules to say you can't hold the saddle horn or beat a hasty retreat if the drainage pipe is looking too much like a snake or the low sun makes the puddles seem like crocodile pools!

Curly's comment made me smile, my husband is doing trail on our horse for the first time at Hartpury, and he is a safety enginer!!!

both he and horse are very novice, so not wanting anything to scary, or else we could be on for some demolishon!!
