Anyone know what the trail bridge is likely to look like at at Hartpury this year?

I've no idea! I don't remember there even being a bridge in the (one) trail pattern I did at Hartpury last year (my first ever!)

Why not contact Lynne Stanley who is Show Secretary, she might be able to point you in the right direction. If you're looking to build your own for practice, you could look at Nathan Haynes' photography website for a range of examples and I have a vague recollection of previous threads on this site about trail bridge dimensions... Sorry, can't be more specific than that!

Think you're right Campbh...madam was gutted cos she loves bridges, she's sooo photogenic inspecting the bridge in a proper trail horse manner, ears pricked and nose low to the ground

But those fiendish area 6 people spent the winter building and practising scary trail obstacles so expect the unexpected.

anyone got a bit of blue carpet they don't need?

cantata007, they used a hump-backed bridge at a recent WES Area 6 event; you can see pics on their website here http://www.wes-area6england.com/apps/photos/album.jsp?albumID=1181007 ...

Don't panic folks. I believe the bridge that may be used at Harpury is just a flat one (re-inforced pallet type). The water box is not being used. There is no western trail equipment stored at Hartpury, just poles, so anything that is used has to be transported by someone before and after the show. These large bridges and water boxes are v. difficult to transport so it is easier not to use them.
