Well - what a FAB time we had over the weekend
The sun came out, I now look like rudolph with my red nose and the spectators loved the show.
For those that took the chance and attended we had a great time - BBQ on Saturday night was a masterpiece of culinary ingenuity - and vegetarians were catered for by a little more than the basic vege-burger - but the real stars were the puddings

and the atmosphere. West Coast is such a social get-together show - I got to speak to people (and drink with them too

) that I have seen but not had the chance to sit and chat with before - you never quite like to interrupt the gathering outside a caravan but in "Lisa's Liquor Bar" and "Lou's Eatin' House" you had no such fears, everyone was included.
Got to take my hat off (now if I had worn it yesterday I might not be sunburnt)

to John and Lou and the show crew - from pumping water out of the arena on Friday (and Thursday and Wednesday) to ensuring competitors needs were met, they worked hard around the clock so that the first of the West Coast Circuit shows was a success. Oh, and Meghan's commentary was a delight to listen too, as was the music.
For those eagle eyed enough, yes I did ride and could be seen on both Archer and Echo. Sadly, Archer bent a slider whilst warming up and ended up not showing, but many thanks to Lucy Adams to very kindly offered to ride him for me when Lee couldn't make it down west.
Personally, I am off now to book clinics with Lucy for the Western Week and can't wait for that to come around.
Well done guys and well done all those who did say "s** the weather" it was well worth it.
