Hi,
How do you all store your Western saddles? I'm not sure whether a standard standing saddle rack for an Endlish saddle will do the trick (height/weight, etc.), and can't locate any of those good old simple wooden ones I've found in the States. Any ideas?

i keep my western saddle on a western saddle folding rack. it is bigger than the english ones and you can store more than one saddle on it too. the one i have also has a rack underneath which is very useful. i would suggest you try www.bootsandsaddles.co.uk, www.westernscene.co.uk, www.arizonas.co.uk, www.marchhorseandtack.co.uk

I've got saddle racks all over the darned house - surly one horse and one barely-started-and-currently-lame mule cannot justify 1 english saddle and 5 western saddles (2 of which fit neither of the beasts??!!)

However, my dad made me two lovely traditional saddle racks from a pattern I bought off ebay (he emailed it to me, I might still have it....) but check this out... I WANT one for the hallway:

Saw on at Your Horse Live and have craved it ever since. Perhaps if I flogged my surplus saddles....!!!

I bought a folding rack from western scene and am really pleased with it. It's got a handy shelf underneath as well!! I thought Robinsons did a good value western saddle rack but despite hours of trawling through their site I couldn't find it....

I bought a western saddle rack from March Tack Shop. It's fab and has the handy pole under it for saddle pads/blankets
