Got the tail bags and the de-tangler. Could I have a little more help please? How do I get Rosie's brown tail back to white?

More online shopping! I have some stuff from Designer Browbands designed to whiten tails - can't remember what it's called but it's in a teeny pot and you dissolve literally a quarter of a teaspoon of royal blue powder into a jug of cold water for your final rinse. Might take a couple of goes on a really dirty tail.
Supreme Products do a similar powder but I prefer the blue one.
Does make the tail a bit dry tho, so you need to use lots of spray on conditioner afterwards.

Gosh I almost forgot what a summer coat looked like, I have been so busy feeding a polar bear these past few months.

It may take a little while as I am guessing your horse is a mare. The grey is a gelding so his tail does not have any added urine that can cause the staining as much as on a mare. Although you can see how much build up there was with just a couple of weeks not in a tailbag. If you keep washing (leave the shampoo on for about 10 mins and use hot water, not burning hot but you will need to make sure it's not cold hose water). I use a small bucket and dunk the tail in and keep hold of the bucket for as long as I can to loosen the buildup of any crud. Make sure you condition after and then the stains will be on their way to getting out. As you keep the tail bagged then any stained ends will grow out also. Baileys tail comes up so white when clean. Shame the sun went in once it was dry.

Hope you enjoy using the tail bag!

I had the conditioner from Bailey Boots company (Tailgator)and it superb on ZZ Hoss's tail which is sooo thick it takes me ages to shampoo and condition it, but when it's done, it's amazing! I use it on my hair too, what's good for him is good for me too! Graham doesn't need hair conditioner thankfully, else it would be use up in no time!

To day was the first time the weather was o.k. and we had the time to 'Do The Tails'. We've o/h's help I washed, conditioned and put the strengthener stuff on. Then got the hair dryer out and JD was of course as good as gold. To my amazement Rosie took a few minutes to get accustomed then let me get on with it. They both look very smart but are being kept in for the rest of the day. The next task is manes!
