Count me in too, I'm in the Scottish Borders and would love some more western stuff in the North!

Just for info, Bruce Lawrence visits Silloth, Cumbria fairly regularly, check out his website on the links page.

There are also a few WES things in N Yorkshire- 3 day clinic at Bishop Burton next April.

WES has tried to put on clinics and other events in the north east but most have had to be cancelled through lack of interest.
Providing Western lessons for non horse owners is virtually prohibitive due to the cost of insurance, registration as a riding school etc. etc.
Some trainers do travel up to this area but again the costs do tend to be high due to travel distance.
From Spring next year, Chris Dalton, one of the most successful young western riders in the country at the moment is intending to become accredited as a WES instructor. He is already giving lessons to several people in the north east but will be away in the US for the next few months working on a training yard in Texas. Get in touch with him if interested.

Hello Andrew, I am new to this board (and western riding) so hope you get this in time.

Bruce Lawrence travels quite regularly to Silloth which I know is quite a journey for you but certainly nearer than going south, he is doing a clinic this Sat and Sunday at East Border Farm, Silloth, Cumbria.
If you want more details please contact Bruce Lawrence on 07725501207 there is a tiny possibility that if you are able to get there you might still manage to get a place, altho can't promise, he is also doing another at end of Feb. If you want you can just turn up as a spectator and then make your mind up after that.
Hope this is of use to you and anyone else who is interested.

happy trails
annie
