I only had one class at the mendip because my boy is only three, and while I have recently backed him he is not ready for ridden classes, dont want to rush him for a show date - so there is just an in hand gelding class for us...which makes hiring a box a very expensive endeavour!

I am noticing a few new posters who's locations are westcountry and Devon, if any of you want to share transport to a show it could make the travelling much more feesible - pm me if you are interested! I just have the one boy and he is a great traveller and very friendly/submissive with new horses!

Its a shame the Devon Western Riding club have not managed to secure a decent reining surface down here, but until our sport gains momentum the demand wont be there for people to spend megabucks on the surfaces we need..its growing all the time though!

Maybe we should all move to the fens
or just the horses perhaps say it costs me £40 there and back to SQH in my tiny van about £120 in the lorry there seem some well priced houses, some with land people seem nice and guess there would be jobs over that way

Wouldn't have been the first time I consider that move.......
