I sent off the transfer of ownership documents for my horse to the states as he is dual registered over a month ago. However I still haven't received anything back from them.

I was wondering what other peoples experience was when transfering ownership of a horses and how long it has taken in the past.

Last year one took over three months for us!

I've only done one but it was around this time of year, it went through reasonably quickly if i can remember!

You could check your bank to see if the payment has come out, at least if it has you know they've received it.

I wouldn't worry.

I have sent of numerous transfer/registrations etc etc and some of them have almost come back by return, others have taken months. I don't think admin is their forte.

If you are worried, email them, they come back quite quickly on that.

Hi, i sent off a transfer of ownership before Easter which still hasnt turned up. Rang AQHA a couple of weeks ago to be told it had never arrive, lost in post etc etc. Which caused a major panic on my behalf!! However the payment has just come out of my account so i'm hoping the papers will turn up soon!!!!

It takes ages mine took about 3 months, took 2 for my new membership card as well.

They arnt very quick with paperwork.
