the sierra hat doesn't look like a cowboy hat but i'm not bothered as i would rather keep my show cowboy hat for the show ring. i think proper riding hats giving protection should be made to do the job, if you look at videos of the calgery stampede, even real cowboys are wearing helmets now for the dangerous times and i think if you are riding on the roads why get all upset over a riding helmet and these new ones actually look good.

The one that looks like a stetson is called a Troxel Western Hat Helmet. I have had one on order since the spring, the US supplier has been emailing me once a month promising me they will have more in soon but as yet no hat helmet! I think there has been such a demand Troxel only made a few as a trial and now dont have enough - I am hoping one of these emails will actually say its coming one of these days!!

This was the sierra one, in brown, much nicer than your usual skull cap or velevet helmet,

The Troxel western hat is available on Linda Crosslands site www.westernscene-uk.com, I am guessing that she has them available now for you to buy and I don't think the price is to bad either and its free shipping if you spend over £40 Hope this helps if you don't manage to get yours from the States.

I can only see two on that site...The Spirit and the Seirra(Which looks just like the Spirit except for the suede effect)
