What a belter! The West Coast Show at the Mendip Stud was blessed with glorious weather if not too good... Phew!.
The sun shone, as did the obvious planning that had gone into putting on this show. From first impressions as I arrived, I was indeed impressed. Where to start? The thought and work that had gone into supporting the competitors and spectators outside the show ring was exceptional in my experience. I have/had many things I was going to say but having only just got back after a 5 hour drive, I see TheWesternShop.com users have already started to say it so I will leave it to them to give their own accounts but...
I would just like to say this...John and Lou (sorry Lou didn't get to meet you), You are to be congratulated.
I too left feeling like it had been a holiday, my simple requests for some assistance to John and subsequently his 'Crew' were treated with 110% efficiency and as Whitewood said in her forum post... I KNOW they had more important things to do but they attended to it and both John and his 'Crew' (thanks Dave) even took the time to enquire afterwards if everything was ok. That's service and customer satisfication!
John you should think about hiring your 'Crew' out to other shows because they are an asset and the catering was first class... hot dogs or burgers NO!!! We had such things as Peking duck wraps and salmon and cream cheese bagels.
I met some really enthusiastic, nice people and I look forward to the next show. Check out what others say on the Forum.
