I have added the ability for author status users to create newsletters and sales lists to which other registered users can subscribe (in their profile) . The required newsletter or sales list will then be emailed to the subscriber periodically. Creation of the newsletter or sales list can be made through the menu system as seen by clicking the thumbnail.

This is ideal if you run a western related business and would like to keep subscribers of this website up to date with your current news or offers from your sales list.

Whilst creating the subscription article you can leave it 'Unpublished' so it does not show on the site but will be sent to the subscriber.  If the content is for general view you may set it to 'Published' and it will also be shown on the site.  Users can subscribe to any of the lists by editing their profile as the example here shows.
